Pledgeship to Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. is nothing more than a promise. It is a promise of a life-long dedication to all of the ideals and purposes of the brotherhood. This promise is made to all those who aspire to it, regardless of social, racial, or personal preference. This promise is made to individuals whose personal, social, and academic qualifications, are accepted by this fraternity. Those few persons who are given membership to a pledge class will be referred to as Pledgemen of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc.
The Pledgemen are unique to Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. They
are given a chance to prove themselves as NAK material. It is not
the intent of NAK to have more members or chapters than any other
organization. NAK would like to concentrate on quality membership
and first rate chapters that satisfy NAK's purpose of achievements
and our life-long commitment to progressive
excellence.
No pledgemen worthy of membership would at any time in his life
feel that he has done this fraternity a favor. An individual who holds
himself superior to the brotherhood of NAK cannot be worthy of membership
into this organization. Personal, social and academic qualifications
are asked from the pledgemen to see if the ability to live and interact
in close and open companionship with men of similar values exists.
It also includes the ability to obey the will of the majority without
sacrifices of individual
beliefs.
